Primary Purpose:
Assist, implement, and provide technical support of campus-level technology systems.
Respond to requests for assistance from faculty and staff regarding computer software,
hardware, and computer peripheral devices.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of basic computer software and hardware preferred
Learner, team-player, self-starter, self-motivated, flexible, and organized
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to positively work when interfacing with staff of CISD
Ability to troubleshoot and correct basic technology-related problems
Flexibility to manage multiple request items from multiple areas simultaneously
Ability to help resolve problems in a professional, congenial manner
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide appropriate technology support for request tickets in the district-
wide work order system.
2. Provide first line campus-level technical support for hardware, software,
printers, and computer peripheral devices including but not limited to
routine maintenance, repairs, updates, cleanings, and troubleshooting.
3. Assist with support of technology in the classroom in a timely manner
utilizing the available support tools and by using innovative and emerging
technologies throughout the district.
4. Assist other Technology department personnel with installation and
implementation of hardware and software, as requested throughout the
district.
5. Perform repairs, as needed, to maintain clean, operable equipment.
6. Assist with necessary management of computers and printers following
normal procedures including beginning and closing-of-year procedures.
7. Stay current with advances in the computer technology industry.
8. Update licensed software programs, as required.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
10. Record service requests into the district work order system.
11. Assist with inventory procedures for all campus-level
technology-related equipment.
12. Enjoy working with people and technology.

16. Represent the school system to the community in a positive

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
Requires working in a cooperative, assisting manner with all district staff. Requires
lifting (up to 40 lbs.), stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and prolonged use of
computing devices. Requires frequent travel to various campuses and locations
within CISD.
