REQUIREMENTS:

• Appropriate Texas certification and/or licensure

• Knowledge of federal and state special education laws

• Knowledge of speech evaluation protocols

• Knowledge of a wide range of interventions for speech articulation disorders and language disorders 

• Ability to communicate with all levels of special needs students and their parents

• Ability to interpret policy, procedures and data

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively communicate student progress with parents and Speech Pathologist.

• Write present levels of performance, keep progress records up to date, and log therapy sessions.

• Implement remediation strategies for articulation and language disorders.

• Maintain accurate records.
