QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have valid Texas Teaching Certificate

• Must meet NCLB standards

• Previous Jr High band experience preferred

• Ability to engage large numbers of band students

• Ability to work with a vertical team of band directors
• Willingness to travel between various campuses during the school day

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with band vertical team

• Possible high school marching duties, including traveling to games and contests, summer marching band duties
• Intermediate school beginning band duties
• Possible Junior High band duties
• Possible lead director of at least one junior high or high school band
• Assist other directors with bands
• Before and after school sectionals
• UIL Band Contest participation

• Other duties as assigned
