QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid LVN license
• Work well on a team
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Knowledge of basic first aid and health care practices and procedures
• Knowledge of how to care for diabetic students
• Ability to physically transfer students according to proper procedures
• Ability to understand and address students with special needs
• Ability to act as a liaison with health care professionals and community agencies
• BLS Certification

 REQUIREMENTS:

• Maintain up-to-date cumulative health and immunization records
• Ability to implement and monitor individual health care plan
• Assist student in classroom setting
• Administer first aid care for ill, medically fragile, and injured student; follow-up with parents and school personnel regarding school emergencies
• Appraise, promote, and protect the optimal health status of students and staff.
• Able to build rapport and maintain confidentiality with students, parents and faculty
• Perform other duties as assigned
